EVOLUTION CAPITAL PARTNERS LIMITED (ECPL) is a frontier market partnership focused on the wider East African region. ECPL provides strategic, operational, project implementation and funding advice to commercial ventures and financial institutions and additionally seeks to catalyse suitable co-investment opportunities. The 4 partners have a broad range of operational management, strategic, transactional advisory, legal and investment management experience along with significant regional relationships. From their perspective the development of sustainable bankable deal flow is a necessary pre-requisite to the establishment of a strong regional venture capital sector. The partners further believe that they can blend their skills and catalyse significant regional deal flow.

ECPL is therefore currently fundraising for the "Venture Capital Catalyst Fund". This Fund will catalyse commercial ventures which have a sound product but lack the requisite internal structure and corporate evolution required to attract longer term commercial bank debt and larger venture capital flows into the region by providing small seed capital followed by a call to larger regional and international venture funds to complete the process.
